UK Undergrad can I strill do a US MD?
If I get an undergrad degree in the UK can I still attend a US medical school? The UK degree would either be a Bachelors of Medicine or a BA in Biology.

Hi Physics Nerd, You will have to contact the medical schools that you are interested in attending to get the specific requirements for applications made from international students. My reason for this statement is because the US education system including medical schools are run very differently then the UK education system. Under the US system you have to have a bachelors degree with certain courses, that each school determine, is needed for admission to medical school. Along with that you will need most likely for have a first class honours degree, you will need to have a student visa, most likely you will have to take the MCAT, and you may even need to take the TOEFL exam too. This may mean for you that you will have to take 2 - 3 years of additional course work in the US at the undergraduate level before you can apply to medical school.

Where were you planning to live? Edit: If you are prepared to board you have lots of choices. Many British boarding schools have a 6th form intake as they have students that drop or move after GCSEs. You do know that boarding schools are terribly expensive don't you? Around £25,000 a year plus travel and allowance.

a collage is just a place to gain qualifacations where there are not normally people younger than 16, a school with a sixth form is still jst a school, theonly sixth form collage with boarding in the uk is Welbeck but i think the deadline was january 25th. there are lots of boardin schools with sixth forms though, the best sixth form in the contry 'hockerills' in hertfordshire near london, has boarding, but its expensive

If a person of non-american/ non-british citizenship schools in UK/ US in high school/ sixth form...?
will they be considered international applications, hence having a lower chance of getting in?

actually i think they'd more consider you because you'll most likely be a minority and most colleges want to improve on their diversity. Also many colleges may offer you scholarships if you come from a poor developing nation.
