Going to Graduate School in UK

Going to Graduate School in UK?
ok so I've been looking at going to graduate school abroad, but I'm kind of confused as to the degrees offered in the UK. here is the website I've been looking at. http://www.ucl.ac.uk/neuropsych/Applied-route I am in college in the US and I will graduate with a B.S. in Psychology. what is a first class degree? what does 2:1 mean? what is a conversion degree? would I have to take more courses there to convert my degree to something acceptable in the UK?

Basically they will only take the very top candidates. A first class degree is the highest level which exists in the UK. Your equivalent would be coming in say the top 10% of your class at university. A 2:1 is the next grade down. A conversion degree would be a course in psychology that you'd do if your initial degree wasn't in psychology. I think the "acceptable" bit for you will come from here: "For Graduate Membership the Society will consider the following: 1. Whether you hold a degree from a recognised university or comparable institution; and 2. Whether your degree is of equivalent standard to a British Bachelors degree; and 3. Whether your degree is at least fifty percent Psychology. This means that Psychology courses must comprise at least half of the studies which contributed to the award of your degree;" (this is from http://www.bps.org.uk/membership/grades/grades_home.cfm . If you follow the links from the UCL website, you'll discover you _have_ to be a member of the BPS to do this course). So, you say your degree will be in psychology...but will 50% of the courses you have taken for it be psychology courses?
