I've noticed this on the news recently and wondered as a student teacher, how people are reacting to this idea. I would like to hear from pupils, teachers, parents/carers and any other objective opinions. Yes? No? Why? Why not? etc. Thanks very much xxxx =D

I disagree with corporal punishment like the cane, as i think there are other ways for discipline without having to be physically hurt. Having said that, i agree that some discipline needs to happen, its that the politicians are not creative enough to think of what. I would have the (male) offender for example dress up in a lady's dress, with make up all day at school. Humiliate them in some way. Its much better! Having said that i think in the UK, we are bound by EU Laws, which is why yuo dont see many of these ideas take shape.
