I need statistics to back up my point that bullying is more common in US schools because students don't wear uniform, and you get picked on because of what you wear. Whereas in the UK, we wear uniform so you look the same. Any ideas, and sources?

being english i cant comment on this as effectivly but just because we wear school uniform dosnt change alot Kids still bully over silly things, like what shoes you got, or what make bag, how your cloths fit!! the school uniform system is a joke here because childen still wear certain accesories to make it cooler like hats and scarfs and coats its something thats bad everywere and the problem we have is teachers havent got the power to punish anyone to the point where it could actually be stopped!

I'm a sophomore in high school from Northern Virgina ... and to be honest, there is really never any bullying. At least where I live, you either talk to somebody or you don't; you don't pick on them for fun. Nobody gets picked on for how they dress ... sure, some people dress extremely wierdly, but nobody comes out and bullies them to their face.

Yes most likely is but their approach to the problem might be different. It is called international boredom, what we get over here most likely common everywhere. It is an urban problem. What they get over there we get over here. http://www.bullyingintheu.k.com
