Im 15 years old and im really worried. For 11 months i have been suffering from ingrown toenail and have missed a rough total of 3 1/2 months due to surgery, emergency treatment,etc.. i have a really bad attendance of just 54% and my mum has been spoken to by Educational Welfare people. But she has been calling in to the school, writing letters asking if they can send work to me but nothing. Nobody even told the headmaster what's wrong with me. They think i'm just staying at home without reason. What can happen to my mum/me?

Your mom needs to go to the school and ask to speak to the Headmaster. Not only tell him/her about no one looking after your homework to send it home, after requests, but tell them that is what you want! And that it is serious. your not just staying home for the hell of it. It sucks i know, im 16 and in Canada.. I miss so much school, I have very bad tonsillitis. Causes me to miss so much school, and its such a piss off when people think you are faking it, and don't wanna help you get caught up. That includes teachers. some can be a complete bitch. But good luck! Deffinately get your mom to go to the school and talk some sence into them. bye
