I'm writing a book set in Houston Alaska and i really need to know a few things about Houston high school as i live in the UK i have no idea what live is like in Alaska 1. What time does the school start at? (i have been told around 7.30 but i need to be sure) 2. When does it finish 3 what are the holidays 4. how long are the holidays i know its a lot to ask and i have tried Google it for 3 days and i can't find anything so any help would be fantastic even if you can only answer one of my questions. Each school level begins at a different time of day, so the elementary schools would not begin at the same time. http://www.hhs.matsuk12.us/ Look under school calendar for information about holidays. You can also look under Matanuska Susitna School District at www.matsuk12.us. But, why not just go there yourself, so that you can add all the detail that you will need for your book. If you haven't been there, you'll never know what you have missed. Fly to Anchorage and go see and enjoy Alaska for yourself!
