I am college graduate with a Bachelor of science degree in Exercise Sport Science. I also have a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. What standardized tests do I need to take to become eligible to apply to UK medical schools? Also, what is the probability that a foreign student will get accepted to UK medical schools? Are the academic curriculums between the United States and UK too different for a US student, with my credentials, to get accepted to UK medical schools? I am looking to live permanently in the UK after i finish medical school.

If you are in the U.S, I would rather have you go to the Carribean to get a medical degree. Based on the information you have provide, you do not need any standardized test. However, MCAT will place you on the top of the list. Even if you are not within the U.S, I would highly recommed you to explore medical colleges in the Carreabean Island. The name that strikes out of all is the Ross Medical College. However, there are others that are recognized in the U.S. You will undergo your clinicals and residency in the U.S. I hope this answers your question. Getting accepted in a medical school in U.K without legal residence is very tough and out of reach at times. Shaji

The admissions requirements for UK school can vary. The authority over all UK med schools is the General Medical Council and in looking for a link to provide you I noted that even the GMC advises you to contact the individual med schools for the admission requirements. The link I provided below is a link to a list of all of the med schools in the UK. I suspect that you will have to have your course work evaluated for equivalency in the UK. You certainly aren't the first student to do this, so I'm certain the appropriate people at the UK schools can assist you in getting this done.
