How does the American school year work? Do half terms exist over there?
This video got me wondering (Listen to it and read the comments) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DNApmyTv1Z8 . In the UK, primary school is for 5-11 year olds, and 11-16 (sometimes 11-18 if there's a sixth form) go to secondary/high school. There are three terms in the year consisting of 10-14 weeks, with a two week holiday (half-term) in the middle of each term.
